Craig County Public Library

Library Services

Circulation Services
Craig County Public Library has a small collection that focuses on popular materials of interest to readers of all ages. Our collection includes books for adults, young adults, and children, large print books, audio books, videos for adults and children, local history materials, magazines and newspapers, and more. Read more about library card eligibility and privileges.

Borrowing from Other Libraries
While we are working hard to improve our collection, we do not have many of the resources available at larger libraries. We are happy to help our patrons fulfill their information needs by assisting them with borrowing from nearby libraries (e.g., NRPLCoop and RVL libraries) or, in some cases, arranging for an interlibrary loan. Please ask at the circulation desk for more information.

Public Access Computers
The library has 5 Public Access Computers available on a first-come, first-served basis, that can be reserved in advance for use by adults. Time limits are enforced only if someone is waiting to use a computer. Computers are shut down 15 minutes prior to closing time.

Our library catalog is not available online at this time.

The Craig County Public Library Internet Acceptable Use Policy governs all computer use. Signing in to use the computer constitutes agreement to the conditions of this policy.

NOTE: Children under 18 must have on file an Internet Acceptable Use Policy, signed by a parent or guardian. Children under 10 must be accompanied by a responsible adult when using the Internet.

Individual assistance on the computers is provided on request. Please realize that many of our circulation desk workers are volunteers who are not trained in information technology.

Our computers feature high-speed DSL Internet connection. Wireless access is available in the library for personal devices.

In addition to online resources (links can be found on the home page), we have a full suite of Microsoft Office productivity software on all public access computers.
