Summer Reading Games 2023

Posted by ccpl on

Do you like to read and enjoy games? Then this year’s summer reading program is right up your alley! Join us for the Summer Reading Games 2023! This summer we hope to make reading fun for all with our Summer Reading Bingo Cards!

When is it?
Our annual Summer Reading Program runs from June 24th through July 28th, 2023. The five-week program is generously sponsored by our Friends of the Library. If you are not a Friends of the Library member and wish to help sponsor our events, please complete a membership form. Complete your membership form before June 30th for a chance to win a $100 gift card to a local business of your choice!

How does it work?
1. Sign-up for the summer reading program with one of our librarians at the Craig County Public Library during normal business hours. You may also call or e-mail to sign-up if you plan on printing or downloading your own bingo card. Bingo cards may be downloaded by clicking the links below:

Kids Bingo Card   |   Teens Bingo Card   |  Adults Bingo Card

2. Start reading! Each bingo card has a suggestion for a book such as reading a book that was made into a movie or a book set in the future. The children’s bingo cards have suggestions for how to read your book such as reading in your pajamas or during your breakfast.

3. Complete and mark each suggestion space on your bingo card. Adult and teen suggestion cards can overlap. You may choose to read a book suggested by a librarian that is more than 200 pages and it is a classic book. You get to mark off three bingo spaces for one book read!

4. Turn in your completed bingo cards no later than 6:00 pm on Friday, July 28th , 2023 to be in our grand prize drawing! Bingo cards may be submitted at the Craig County Public Library or via e-mail to craiglibrary@swva.net. Each completed and submitted bingo card is a chance for our grand prize. Please be sure to complete the back of your bingo card with your name, age, phone number, and parent(s)/guardian(s) name(s) if applicable (under 18).

Who can participate?
Anyone can participate! Infants, toddlers, children, teens, and adults! Stop by, e-mail, or call the library at (540) 864-8978 to sign-up! Sign-ups for children and teens include a goody bag while supplies last!
